An exciting aftermarket business that provides the latest service-related products to both the independent aftermarket and franchised dealer sectors.
As a service advisor, you will be based out of head office and supporting primarily the independent motor repair network.
With car repairs becoming more and more complicated once a new part is fitted, it regularly requires “recoding” for the car ECU to recognise the change. Usually this service is limited to the dealership sector but now this same service is available to the independent garages and workshops.
Your role is to work closely with the repairers on the telephone via inbound calls and assisting them with this final and crucial step in the repair process. Your responsibilities will include:
This is not a hugely technical job as all of the training will be provided and by the time you get involved in the process the actual vehicle repair has been completed, you are required to finish off the pivotal, final part.
This would be a fantastic opportunity for someone already involved in the automotive trade. Whether you’ve come from a technician, parts advisor or service advisor background (and others!) you will fit this role as all of the training will be provided and the role you will be doing itself doesn’t get too technically involved with the repair service.
The primary skill needed in this role is customer service. As you are dealing with customers all day long over the phone and via email, this is a very communication focused role.
