Training Tuesday – Part 1
Welcome to “Training Tuesday” where I will be carrying on from my introduction last week… Today, let’s look at another key benefit of training, it makes a company more much attractive to potential new recruits who seek to improve their skills and the opportunities.
Ensure that when hiring a new individual, you ensure training is discussed throughout the process. As it forms part of the benefits the company has to offer someone new.
The lack of a training for potential candidates, suggests that the company will fail to meet his or her own aspirations in the future and an individual will simply feel the business does not want to invest in their people.
Training involves the improvement of people within the organisation so that they, and the company, can achieve their objectives and both personal and corporate goals.
Training should vary according to requirements of the business and the individual. Areas to look at are:
- KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators)
- Team development
- Leadership/Management development
- Team Building
- On the job
- 1-2-1 development

Training is all about getting individuals involved and engaged!
Training comes in many forms all of which can help with job satisfaction, it can be having a mentor to work alongside you, it could also be on the job coaching, it can also be support from your manager and team. Ultimately though, personal development is also your responsibility.
